I have blogged/published thoughts on the web to varying degrees of regularity since around 2007.

It has been enjoyable for multiple reasons. Above all it helped me process what I was thinking about and helped commit it to memory, something I have been getting worse at by the day.

Lately, I've missed it. So I've spent some time on identifiying what has stopped me in the past.

The main blockers:

Design

Accepting I do not and will not have time to dedicate to designing and building a blog from scratch. Instead of beating myself up over it, I will just iterate on it when I have time.

Maintenance

Maintaining the blog. I'm taking a punt on GhostPro to remove the need to upgrade, tweak and make backups.

So I'm giving it another go.

Whether or not I'll completely kill off previous iterations elsewhere is a debate that will truck on for a few weeks yet. Thoughts welcome to @cloudsteph on Twitter :)
