Dollies

So a bit of kerfuffle about the @ireland Twitter account appeared in my timeline this evening.

Out of curiousity, I looked at the timeline and this caught my eye:

My curiosity was stirred. So I asked Stephen about it:

So female Ryanair cabin crew have roughly four times as much rules and regulations to follow for presentation and grooming on the job compared to their male counterparts.

I haven't gotten any specifics on it yet despite asking, so I can't draw any great conclusions or make much more comment than say that on the face of it, that seems pretty unbalanced.

Is this commonplace for most airlines? Is it just part of the job? Has it always been this way and if so, how come?

I'm not a witch hunt here by the way, I'm genuinely curious about the ins and outs of such a stat and how far into and beyond the service industry such policies reach.
